Email Notification Preferences
Choose which email notifications you receive, individually, by category, or all at once.
Hyperstack sends email notifications to keep you informed about your account, resources, billing, and product updates. The Notification Settings page lets you choose which of these emails you receive, turning individual notifications on or off, switching a whole category at once, or pausing every optional email with a single master switch. This page explains how notification preferences work and how to manage them.
A few critical notifications are marked Required and are always sent as required notices under the Hyperstack Terms and Conditions. Every other notification is optional, so you can turn it on or off at any time.
You can also manage these preferences programmatically. Call the Email Preferences API.
How Email Notifications Work
Open the Notification Settings page from My Account → Notification Settings. Notifications are organized into categories, and each category groups the related emails you can receive.
Required and Optional Notifications
Each notification is either required or optional:
- Required notifications carry a Required badge, and their toggle is locked on. These cover critical notices, such as System Alerts about system-wide issues or maintenance, and you cannot turn them off.
- Optional notifications have an interactive toggle, so you can turn each one on or off.
Most notifications are optional, and they are enabled by default, so you receive them unless you turn them off. Hyperstack manages which notifications are required, so check the Required badge on the Notification Settings page for the current set.
Categories and Sub-Notifications
Some categories contain a single notification, while others group several related notifications. You can expand a grouped category to control each notification individually, or switch them together with the category's Toggle All control. The available categories are managed by Hyperstack and may change over time as notification types are added.
The Master Switch
The All Optional Notifications switch at the top of the page turns every optional notification on or off at once, leaving required notifications unaffected. It also reflects the combined state of your optional notifications: if you disable any optional notification, it shows Off.
Automatic Saving
Changes are saved automatically as you make them, so there is no Save button. A Saved confirmation appears each time a change is applied.
Per-Organization Preferences
Notification preferences are stored per organization. If your account belongs to more than one organization, the page shows the preferences for the organization you are currently working in, and any changes you make apply only to that organization.
Manage Your Email Notifications
The Notification Settings page lets you control which emails Hyperstack sends you, turning notifications on or off individually, a whole category at a time, or all at once with the master switch. To update your preferences:
-
Navigate to the My Account → Notification Settings page. The Email Preferences panel lists your notification categories.

-
To turn a single notification on or off, use its toggle. Optional notifications have an interactive toggle; required notifications show a locked toggle that cannot be changed.
-
To expand a category that contains several notifications, select it, then toggle the individual notifications it contains, or use Toggle All to switch all of that category's optional notifications together.
-
To pause or resume every optional email at once, use the All Optional Notifications master switch at the top of the page.
Each change is saved automatically, and a Saved confirmation appears when it is applied. Your preferences are synced with the Hyperstack mailing system, so they take effect on future emails without any further action.
Notification Categories
Notifications are grouped into categories, and each category covers a related set of emails. Some categories contain a single notification, while others group several that you can control individually. The table below lists what each notification tells you and whether you can turn it off.
Hyperstack manages the notification catalog. The Notification Settings page always shows your current set, with a Required badge on the notifications you cannot turn off. To turn off an optional notification, see Manage Your Email Notifications.

Credit Balance Warning Emails
Low-balance warning emails, which alert you as your account credit runs low, are part of your notification preferences. A toggle for each warning threshold appears under the Payment & Billing category on the Notification Settings page. Only organization owners can see and manage these toggles. They are hidden from all other members.
For how the warning thresholds are calculated and when each email is sent, see Early Email Notifications for Low Balance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I turn off all emails from Hyperstack?
No. A few critical notifications are marked Required and are always sent under the Hyperstack Terms and Conditions. You can turn off every other notification, either individually or all at once with the All Optional Notifications master switch.
I belong to more than one organization. Do my preferences apply to all of them?
No. Notification preferences are stored per organization. The page shows the preferences for the organization you are currently working in, and any change you make applies only to that organization. Switch organizations to manage another one.
How do I pause every optional email at once?
Use the All Optional Notifications master switch at the top of the Notification Settings page. It turns every optional notification off or back on in one step, while required notifications stay on.
Why can't I see the credit balance warning toggles?
The credit balance warning toggles are visible only to organization owners and are hidden from all other members. If you need a change to these settings, contact your organization owner.
