Restore a hibernated cluster

POST

/core/clusters/:cluster_id/restore

Restores a Kubernetes cluster that was hibernated because your account balance reached zero. The operation restores the virtual machine of every node, then reconciles the cluster to reapply its configuration. Call it after you top up your balance.

The response lists the nodes being restored in restoring_nodes. A node that cannot be restored appears in failed_nodes with the reason, and the cluster moves to the error state. Its root disk data stays on its hibernated virtual machine, so you can call this API again to restore the nodes that are still hibernated. If no node can be restored, the API returns a 400 error and the cluster keeps its current status.

Cluster status and restore

Only hibernated clusters and clusters in the error state can be restored. For how clusters are hibernated and how long they are kept, see Cluster Hibernation on Zero Balance.
